Minimal example for compiling MakeSelector?

I have a selector script that runs fine in interactive mode when using tree->Process(“selector.C”).
What would be the simplest way to compile this to be able to submit it as a batch job? What needs to be modified/added?

If I manage to compile this, is it possible to run the same program on different root files with the same structure without recompiling it?

Any example is welcome!
