Merging root files

Hi,

I’m merging 20 root files (each of less than 4 MB) into one big root file. I’m doing this with the usual TChain::Merge(). However the resulting root tuple is 1.1 GB big!! Is that normal?? Can I do something about it?

Btw I’m using root v3.05d.
