Menu problem

Hi

I’m using root4.00.08 on linux7.3 , gcc2.96. Instal from binaries.
everything works ok till I don’t touch menubar. Then I’ve got an error in terminal:
root [1] Error in : BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied) (XID: 60817462, XREQ: 33)

and root hang.
With root_3.10 and 4.00.06 everything is ok.
Is it a bug in 4.00.08, or maybe I have to change some configuration?

Hi jimmij,
this problem of running ROOT under gnome2.
Switch to kde or move to development version.

Hello again,

I just want to make sure; only way to instal development version is from source, there is no binaries, right?

Yes, you must install from sources.
The first binary tar files will appear only at the end of August.

I’ve just installed newest root(from 10 september).
There is the same problem with menu in gnome environment ;(
