Mac OS X Snow Leopard SVN installation guide?

Is there such a thing available ?

As I understand I just co the trunk in whatever repository. Then I do

cd root ./configure --help ./configure [<arch>] [set arch appropriately if no proper default] (g)make [or, make -j n for n core machines]

Then what should I do with LD_LIBRARY_PATH ?

Actually I don’t really understand this:

Could you explain that with a few more words ?

Thanks !

Hi,

The page root.cern.ch/drupal/content/inst … oot-source is valid for all platform.
Then what should I do with LD_LIBRARY_PATH ?
humm this is exactly what step 3 talks about. The update of PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH can either be done by hand (not described in the documentation) or automatically via the source of bin/thisroot.sh or bin/thisroot.csh
Actually I don’t really understand this:…Could you explain that with a few more words ?
The paragraph you are quoting says that the ‘Location independent installation’ is a better match for MacOS than the ‘Fixed location installation’ described in the next few paragraphs.

Cheers,
Philippe.

Thanks !

Actually I think I was just so afraid to break my new mac that my brain switched off :stuck_out_tongue:
