I am trying to learn root on lxplus. But I am getting this error let me know if I am doing something wrong or is there something I need to install.

how exactly did you start root? Was it by any chance a root -b command?

I think the question @yus asks is the right one and should be addressed first.
If I may, I’d also like to make sure you connected to the lxplus cluster with X11 forwarding, e.g. by specifying the -X option (ssh -X myuser@lxplus.cern.ch).

Could you try to enable X11 forwarding?
