Large number of bins in TH2 - speed issue

Hi,
with 1024x1024 bins Draw speed is fine, but when drawing(“col”) 4096x4096 TH2F histogram and zooming/unzooming etc…, it lags a lot. Is there any workaround?

Of course time will go line NX.NY
Solution: reduce the number of bins

I see… It may be possible to keep 2 TH2F and to display the 4kx4k one just when zoom is large enough to payoff… Kind of thumbnail view… But this means probably to create a new class…
