Installing ROOT v5.10.00 in Fedora Core 5

Hello,
I have just installed root 5.10 in the brand new FC5 distibution (gcc 4.1.0 && xorg 7.0). My config.status is the following:

With default options It didn’t work, I had to disable krb5, ldap and xrootd due to compilation errors which there were not present in FC4 (gcc 4.0.2 & xorg 6.8.2).

Maybe these errors can be easily fixed…

On the other hand, QtRoot layer compiles with no errors (but extra warnings).

Bye,

Alberto.

with CVS version of ROOT: krb5 OK, ldap and xrootd compile error

Hi,
we’re waiting for GCC4.1 to arrive at CERN - would you mind telling us what the errors are? A copy & paste of the compiler output is what we need.
Axel.

Hi Axel,
see (for LDAP error):
