Installing root on slc6

Hello Everybody

I was trying to install root_v5.34.10 on slc6
but when i write ./configure i get this message

…
…
configure: xpm headers MUST be installed

and then i go to the page root.cern.ch/drupal/content/build-prerequisites
but i dont know how to install clang 3.4 on slc6 , because everytime i try to install such thing or do the any of the following

sudo yum install gcc-c++
sudo yum upgrade
sudo yum install devtools-6.X

i get this error
people.centos.org/tru/devtools/6 … repomd.xml: [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found"
Trying other mirror.

i do not know too much about slc6 (its a new machine)

Hi,

this really looks like a configuration issue of the OS rather than a ROOT issue.
It seems nevertheless that some solutions are available on the web like
access.redhat.com/solutions/64532
Perhaps it would make sense to have a look at those.
