I am trying to install pythia8 through madgraph5 from mac Terminal running 12.4 Monterey and Python 3.10.5. When I run MG5_aMC>install LHPADF6 it then asks LHAPDF was not found. Do you want to install LHPADF6? (recommended) y/n >[y] [60s to answer]. When I enter y, it goes through, installs LHPADF6 and then immediately fails and I get:

configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables

Any help or suggestions are appreciated in getting pythia8 to install
