Installing PyRoot, which version of Python was Root built against?

I want to install PyRoot on my computer. I have the version of Python 3.6.5 installed on my laptop. The Users Guide says: “If you download the ROOT binaries, take care to download and install the Python distribution from http://www.python.org/ against which they were built.” I can not find anywhere the information about which version of Python each root binary was built against. How can I find this information?
