Improve TProfile BuildOptions Documentation

The documentation at root.cern.ch/root/html/TProfile. … ildOptions is very difficult to understand. Rather than explaining in a straightforward manner what the options are and what they do, various hypothetical cases are proposed, including rhetorical questions.

More importantly, it uses the unspecific term “spread”. Is this “spread” the true RMS deviation from the mean of the points contained in a bin, or some other measure of dispersion?

Also, it uses fortran operators like “.ne.” and “.gt.”, which are inconsistent with the C+±style coding in ROOT and english.

I suggest that the section be restructured to first clearly and precisely state all the options and what they do. Below this could be included explanations of when each option is a reasonable choice.

Thank you,
Jean-François
