How to normalize two histograms from two root files?

Hello guys, I’m a newbie to root and have difficulty in normalizing two histograms. I want normalize one of the histograms to the other one. Both of them are in different root files.
One is protonnc and other one is heliumncfixed. protonnc.root (15.4 KB) heliumncfixed.root (15.5 KB)

Is TH1::Scale() what you are looking for? If you have a code snippet, can you paste it and pinpoint where the problem exactly is?
