H2root in windows

Hello!

I have some problems with h2root in Windows XP SP2. When using h2root I have the following error:
Error: Symbol h2root is not defined in current scope (tmpfile)(1)
*** Interpreter error recovered ***

I checked PATH. It is PATH= $ROOTSYS/bin
But it didn’t solve my problem.

thanks,
rrriav

Hi,

Which version of Root?
How did you install it (binary, from source)?
Unfortunately, h2root.exe is missing in the latest binary distributions, we will correct the situation as soon as possible (but probably not before first week of January)

Cheers,
Bertrand.

Hello, Bertrand
I use version 5.12/00, it was installed by binary.
Also I have hroot.exe in my system, in $ROOTSYS/bin and h2root.1 in $ROOTSYS/man/man1.

thanks,
rrriav

Hi,
Error: Symbol h2root is not defined in current scope (tmpfile)(1)
Can you tell me how you tried to use h2root?
Use h2root OUTSIDE root (from command prompt), not in a root session (it is a regular executable)

Cheers,
Bertrand.
