H2root for windows

Hello Rooters,

I have some hbook files, that I need to convert to root. From what I have learned while searching the Root Talk forum, I know there is a little program called “h2root.exe”.
I am using windows xp. So I downloaded the latest recommended Binary version of root (root_v5.16.00.win32gdk.tar.gz). But this does not include h2root.exe. Is this somewhere hidden or do I have to build it? If the latter, is there an instruction on how to build this program having the binary version of root?
I have the “Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003” compiler on my computer.

h2root is part of the binary distribution for Windows. It is in $ROOTSYS/bin.
Check your PATH.
