Hi, I installed ROOT 6.08/00 on CentOs 6 64-bits using cmake, make, make install
Compilation goes fine. However, when I run ROOT, I systematically get the following message
“pacific” is the name of my computer.
What does it mean? Is it a problem?

We use this to initialize the unique ID used e.g. in new files (TProcessID). You should be fine; but it’s still strange that your computer is unable to resolve its own host name.
