I am not extremely technical w/ computers, but I need to install ROOT on my Mac. Which binary distribution for Mac is the best to download, and once I have downloaded the tarball and unpacked it on my computer, what steps do I take from there to set it up and run it?
I have not found the instructions online very helpful.
Also, if I’m interested in using PyROOT, how is this installation process different?
It’s also worth noting that I am running OsX Yosemite 10.10.5

Osx releases come with dmg packages. Clicking on the file once downloaded installa (like all dmg packages).
