I have a colleague in TIFR, India. It seems root macros that work in CERN do not work for her in TIFR. I’ve not had much luck in tracing the problems as the macros crashes seem to give no ouput; they just shutdown root, although once there was a core dump. The only thing I can see different (in root) is the versions:
CERN:
Version 3.10/02 19 December 2004
India:
Version 3.10/02 18 March 2004
What is the difference between these two builds?
I know it’s a long shot but I thought I’d give it a go - debugging is quite hard across a bad link and four and a half timezones

It sounds like my colleague has solved her problem - she was using a root library built on SLC on a Linux2.4 system. Sorry to bother you.
