Hi All,
A debian .deb package of root 4.00/0.8 with cernlib enabled for the sarge/testing debian distribution is available. it can be downloaded from:
www-zeus.desy.de/~ferrando/debia … .00-08.deb
alternatively users can apt-get it in the normal way by adding the following line to their
/etc/apt/sources.list:
deb [www-zeus.desy.de/~ferrando/debian/](http://www-zeus.desy.de/~ferrando/debian/) testing hep
installation is simple:
apt-get update
apt-get install root-cern
ROOTSYS should be set to /cern/pro/root
