Compiling error

Hi there,

Hopeyou can help me with this problem which concerns the installations of astroroot on my Mac (Snow Leopard).

I am getting the following error

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
gnumake[2]: *** [libastro.so] Error 1
gnumake[1]: *** [global_install] Error 1
gnumake: *** [global_install] Error 1

Any idea, why I get this error?! Woulg be grate to get an answer from you.

Hi again,

could it be, that I am missing the libastro.so ?
Where can I download this or we would I have to look for it in the root version? Any idea?

Hi Cornelia,

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status gnumake[2]: *** [libastro.so] Error 1indicates that the linking failed ; the reasons why should be listed in the lines before the ‘collect2:’ line.
