I ran into an issue compiling the latest master (f01ec5) on CentOS Linux 7 (Core) with gcc 6.1.0.
cmake -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/gcc/6.1/x86_64-centos7/bin/gcc -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/gcc/6.1/x86_64-centos7/bin/g++ -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=../install/root -Dcxx14=on ../root/
The issue seems to be related to the generation of build/core/base/G__Core.cxx - the include section contains garbage:
