I have checked out the HEAD version of Root from CVS today (18 April 2007) and compiled it successfully. However, when I tried to compile AliRoot I got the following messages during the build process when make was invoking rootcint:
Indeed there is no such file nor does the directory /home/artur/ROOT/HEAD/cint/platform/ exist. When trying to run CINT the same message occurs:
How do I fix this?

Hi,
I suspect that your PATH / LD_LIBRARY_PATH / ROOTSYS are inconsistent - you’re mixing versions. Or more parts of Aliroot need to be rebuilt - more than its build system suspects.
