I’ve got a strange problem with my rootlogon.C-Fil e (root-4.00/08 on Suse 8.2):
I made some changes to my style and added a function, which I didn’t find starting root. So I added some lines to draw this function, and some output, but neither this nor my function appears. Even if I comment out the whole file, or delete it in the .rootrc-file, root reloads the first version. Even using a new bash or rebooting doesn’t help!
Does root make a backup somewhere?
I found the solution:
as root is installed in some global directory at work (2. method in Installation manual) and in my local directory at home, I just didn’t add the path at work. Give me a wall to run against…
