Can't change widget name in TGuiBuilder

Hello,

I’m using ROOT v. 5.20 under Fedora 8, and had a question regarding TGuiBuilder.

Whenever I use the GUI builder, I am unable to change the name of any of the widgets that I add. Is this a normal behavior?

I suppose I can do a find/replace in the generated source after I save the file, but it would be very nice if I could rename each widget within the GuiBuilder itself.

Hi,

Yes, this is the “normal” behavior. But I agree it would be nice to change the names. We have a long todo list for the Gui builder, and this is one of the entries in the list…
