Cannot run the Viewer

Hello, I have just started using ROOT in Ubuntu 14.04.2 and I have trouble opening the viewer, when I try to run StartViewer i get the following error:

Error in TUnixSystem::DynamicPathName: TreeViewer[.so | .dll | .dylib | .sl | .dl | .a] does not exist in .::/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/root5.34:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/root5.34/cint/stl

Any advice?

Hi,

Which version of ROOT? Did you compile it yourself? Does libTreeViewer.so exists in $ROOTSYS/lib? Is $ROOTSYS/lib in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH? Do you only have this problem with the Tree Viewer (can you browse the tree with the ROOT browser)?
