is it possible to create binlabels over two lines, and that the second line spans several bins?

You can define a bin label as "#splitline{above}{below}"
see doc of TLatex at root.cern.ch/root/html/TLatex.html
or alternatively draw the bin labels yourself using TLatex objects.
