Analysis results depending on ROOT version

Hi,

when I let my analysis code run in ROOT version 5.16 I get slightly different results to the ones I get in ROOT version 5.20 (I get less reconstructed electrons in 5.20). Besides I get the following error message in version 5.16 that I don’t get in version 5.20.

“Error in TFile::ReadBuffer: error reading all requested bytes from file /data/etp/jwill/atlas/Ntuple_v13/trig1_misal1_mc12.008090.pythia_J4_Nj2_FMET100.recon.AOD.v13004005/users.JonasWill.ganga.31.20080620135743._00001.out.AAN.root, got 0 of 7465080
Error in TBranchElement::GetBasket: File: /data/etp/jwill/atlas/Ntuple_v13/trig1_misal1_mc12.008090.pythia_J4_Nj2_FMET100.recon.AOD.v13004005/users.JonasWill.ganga.31.20080620135743._00001.out.AAN.root at byte:0, branch:Trk_d0Err, entry:1382, badread=1”

My questions:
Is this error probably the reason for my different results?
How can I solve this problem in older ROOT versions, e.g. 5.16?

Please refrain from posting the same report in 2 different forums, we do monitor them all :slight_smile: and attempt to reply to each and every reports. However posting the same message on multiple forums just make our coordination effort a bit harder! :slight_smile:

This was not my intention. I was recommended to post such a problem in this forum here and not as a bug report, so I submitted it here again. :confused:
