I have seen that in the thisconfig.©sh scripts the configuration for the environment variable PYTHONPATH is missing. In my installation without setting PYTHONPATH variable to $ROOTSYS/lib I cannot use the pyROOT.
My suggestion is to add in the thisroot.©sh script the lines to setup the PYTHONPATH variable. In attachment there are the diffs between my config/thisroot.©sh files and the CVS version.
