Dear All,
We would like to invite you to our 2nd ROOT Hackathon. The event will take place at CERN, at the Idea Square: the Innovation Space of the Lab, on the 25th, 26th and 27th of November!

The Hackathon is organised in three groups, that will work on:
- Pythonic interface extensions: coding! We’ll improve the ROOT user experience from Python
- Python documentation enhancement: coding and documenting! We’ll rediscover existing documentation and examples, give it emphasis in Doxygen pages and elsewhere
- Tutorial modernisation campaign: coding! We’ll go through ROOT’s tutorials, C++ and Python, and give to as many as possible a look fit for the 2020s
As a participant, you will be able to express your preference at registration time.
Ultimately, there will be no restrictions and you will also be able to move to different tasks according to your preference
The ROOT Team as a whole will be driving this effort: we believe that this will bring more sustainability to the project and increase the development and innovation capacity for the benefit of our community.
In line with our core values of inclusiveness, and since we are an open source project, the event is open to all ROOT users and enthusiasts, irrespective of their level of experience.
Home cooked lunches and coffee will be available. A social dinner will be organised near CERN.
