Unsuccessful installation of ROOT on Debian

Dear ROOTers:

I am currently trying to install ROOT on Debian (a kind of Linux OS).

Nothing unusual happened during the building of the root. However, it collapsed immediately when I started a root session. I attached the screen capture which clearly shows what happened at that moment.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

is the platform on which you built a raspberrypi?

D

Yes. I tried to install ROOT on a Raspberry Pi computer.

It seemed that some storage space was inaccessible to ROOT. After enabling the Filesystem expansion feature of the Raspberry Pi OS, the problem has been resolved.

Thanks for your interest!

Note that you are using a very old ROOT version 5.34/00. You’d better upgrade to the last 5.34/32 (or maybe even better to the “head of v5-34-00-patches branch”).
