the 2nd was expected (see my comment above for using disp). Since this is a second case (another is in RooFit), I decided to simply “fix” both by adding special cases to GetPriority().

As for the first, it seems that G__CallFunc is being a tad too smart. I’m not sure I have a solution for that.

Hi Wim,

ok, it seems that at least sometimes the DoDerivative is called during fitting (if Migrad is set as a minimizer algorithm).
