The Hombrew installation of ROOT 6.26.0 works on macOS 12.2.1, and can be used in a conda environment by appropriately modifying
PYTHONPATH.
Be careful doing this. If you’re lucky it will work but it can also fail in all sorts of subtle/bizzare/unfixable ways.
