ROOT Blog RSS Feed is not the Blog

I tried to subscribe to the “blog” here: https://root.cern.ch/blog in my RSS reader, but those posts don’t show up. Instead I see the quasi-monthly Release announcements with the short description from e.g.: https://root.cern.ch/content/release-61402

What is the RSS feed for the more-editorial blog posts? The release posts are also useful, and since both are rather infrequent it would be best if both were on the same feed.

Thank you so much for your feedback!
@axel do you know if we have RSS publishing for ROOT blog?

Cheers,
Oksana.

Hi,

We just have way more patch releases than blog posts  Checking the rss.xml by hand I see that Danilo’s “RDataFrame session at CHEP 2018” shows up. Can you confirm?

Cheers, Axel.

The blog post here: https://root.cern.ch/blog/rootrwhy was posted in October, and the RSS feed that I get from https://root.cern.ch/blog only shows Release announcements going back to September 2017.

I think I figured it out though. The page actually has two RSS feeds on it, and one is only for Releases. It’s just my Blog Reader software only grabbed the first one. Compare:

https://d35c7d8c.web.cern.ch/root-feed-general and
https://d35c7d8c.web.cern.ch/root-releases-feed

I only knew https://root.cern/rss.xml !
